Transferring Records from PsycINFO to RefWorks

UCSF users cannot search databases such as PsycINFO from within RefWorks. You can only search databases from within RefWorks if they are free (e.g., library catalogs or PubMed).

There is however an easy way using the database's Direct Export feature that exports items directly from the results page of a PsycINFO database search into a RefWorks folder:

(i) Mark the records to be exported.

(ii) Click on the Save/Print/Email tab:


(iii) Click on the Export to RefWorks button:


(iv) Your records will appear in the Last Imported RefWorks folder.
